Fish Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 kg fish, cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until light brown.
  2. Add garlic, ginger, and green chillies. Sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Add tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  4. Add coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add fish pieces and stir well to coat with the spices.
  6. Pour in coconut milk and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let the curry simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the fish is cooked.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
