Flammekueche Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pre-made pizza dough
- 150g crème fraîche
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup bacon, diced
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the crème fraîche over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the thinly sliced onions and bacon on top of the crème fraîche.
- Sprinkle caraway seeds, nutmeg, salt and pepper on top of the onion and bacon.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the dough are golden brown and the onions are caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
