Gurnard Red Mullet Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 Gurnard red mullet fillets
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the Gurnard red mullet fillets with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  4. Add cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes, until the tomatoes start to soften. Stir occasionally.
  5. Transfer the sautéed garlic and tomatoes to a baking dish. Arrange the seasoned Gurnard red mullet fillets on top of the tomato mixture. Add lemon slices on top of each fillet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serving Suggestions:

Sprinkle fresh chopped parsley on top of the fish before serving. This dish pairs well with steamed rice or roasted vegetables. Enjoy!
