Italian Lasagna Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. lasagna noodles
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 2 eggs, beaten

Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions, and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink and the onion is translucent. Drain and discard the excess grease.
- Add the spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, salt, basil, oregano, and black pepper to the beef mixture. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Spread a layer of the cottage cheese mixture over the noodles, and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of the meat sauce on top.
- Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
