Log of Green Cabbage and Chestnuts with Turmeric Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium-sized green cabbage
  • 500g chestnuts
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Peel the chestnuts and boil them until they are soft and tender. Drain and set them aside.
  2. Remove the outer layers of the cabbage and cut off the stem. Using a vegetable peeler, slice the cabbage into thin strips.
  3. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the sliced cabbage. Boil for 5 minutes or until the cabbage is tender. Drain and set aside.
  4. Using a rolling pin, flatten each chestnut into a thin layer.

  9. Remove the cling film and slice the log into 1-inch rounds.
  10. Heat olive oil in a large pan and pan-fry the cabbage and chestnut rounds for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  11. Serve hot and enjoy!
