Monkfish with lemon – Delicious

Monkfish with Lemon Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500g monkfish fillet
  • 2-3 lemons
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Begin by preparing the monkfish fillet. Rinse and pat dry with paper towels. Cut the fillet into bite-size pieces (about 2 inches).
  2. Squeeze the juice of two lemons into a bowl and add the finely chopped garlic and olive oil. Mix the ingredients well and season with salt and pepper to taste. Alternatively, you can use a blender to make a smooth paste.
  3. Place the monkfish pieces into the bowl with the lemon and garlic marinade. Stir gently to make sure the fish is coated evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour.
  4. Preheat the pan over medium-high heat. Place the monkfish pieces in the pan and cook on one side for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Flip the pieces over and cook for another 2-3 minutes until fully cooked. Do not overcook the fish or it will become dry.
  5. While the monkfish is cooking, slice the remaining lemon into rounds and place them on the serving dish.
  6. Once the monkfish is fully cooked, transfer the pieces to the serving dish with lemon slices. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Verdict:

The combination of lemon and garlic gives the monkfish a truly unique and delicious flavor. This dish is perfect for those who love fish and want to try something different. It’s light, flavorful and easy to make.
