Oriental Prawn Linguine Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. 350g linguine
  2. 1 lb prawns, peeled and deveined
  3. 2 tbsp sesame oil
  4. 1 red chilli, finely chopped
  5. 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  6. 2 tbsp ginger, finely chopped
  7. 1/4 cup soy sauce
  8. 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  9. 2 tbsp honey
  10. 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  11. 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  12. Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the prawns and cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until pink and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the chilli, garlic, and ginger and saute for 2-3 minutes or until fragrant.
  4. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, and vegetable broth to the skillet. Stir well to combine and bring to a simmer.
  5. Return the prawns to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  6. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce also.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
