Pissaladiere Recipe with Fish
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of your preferred fish fillet (e.g. salmon, tuna, sea bass)
- 1 batch of pizza dough
- 2 large onions
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of black olives, pitted and chopped
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Grease a baking sheet. Roll out the pizza dough to a 9×13 inch rectangle. Transfer to baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and set aside.
- Peel the onions and then slice them thinly. In a pan, heat the olive oil and cook the onions until they turn golden brown while stirring regularly. This should take about 20-25 minutes.
- Season the fish with salt and black pepper and place it on top of the cooked onions. Add black olives and dried thyme on top of the fish fillet. Cover the pan and cook until the fish is done, making sure it flakes easily with a fork. This should take about 10-12 minutes depending on the thickness of the fish.
- Place the fish and onion mixture on top of the pre-baked pizza dough. Cut into slices and serve.
