Pork skewer: barbecue or plancha recipe

Pork Skewer: Barbecue or Plancha Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs Pork Tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 6 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • Wooden Skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, olive oil, garlic, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
  2. Add pork cubes to the bowl with the marinade and stir until all pork pieces are coated in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
  3. Thread the pork cubes onto the skewers, leaving about 1/4 inch of space between each piece. Discard the leftover marinade.
  4. If using a barbecue: Preheat your barbecue to medium-high, oil the grill grates to prevent sticking, and place the skewers on the grill. Cook for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pork is browned and cooked through.
  5. If using a plancha: Preheat your plancha to medium-high, lightly oil the cooking surface, and place the skewers on the plancha. Cook for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pork is browned and cooked through.
  6. Remove skewers from the heat and serve hot.

Verdict:

These pork skewers are simple to make and yet so delicious! The marinade adds a sweet and savory flavor to the pork, and grilling or plancha cooking creates a nice crispy exterior while keeping the meat tender and juicy inside. Perfect for a backyard barbecue or as a main dish for any casual dinner party.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve the pork skewers with your choice of sides, such as a green salad, grilled veggies, or rice. Don’t forget to offer some dipping sauce, such as sweet and sour, barbecue, or chimichurri for added flavor. Enjoy!
