Potato and Mushroom Gratin: Gourmet Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized potatoes, sliced
- 1 cup button mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add mushrooms and sauté until they are browned and tender.
- Layer sliced potatoes in the bottom of a large baking dish.
- Spread mushroom mixture over potatoes in an even layer.
- In a separate bowl, mix heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour cream mixture over the potatoes and mushrooms in the baking dish.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue to bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until the top is browned and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
