Potatoes Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lbs Potatoes
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • 1 Onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds. Set aside.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, and cook until soft, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the potatoes to the skillet and cook until tender, approximately 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  5. Spread half of the potatoes and onions in the bottom of a 9-inch (23cm) pie dish.
  6. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the potatoes and onions.
  7. Repeat with the remaining potato mixture and shredded cheese.
  8. Pour the heavy cream over the top of the cheese and potatoes.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown on top and bubbly.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
