Potatoes Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ lbs Potatoes
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- ¼ cup Butter
- 1 Onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds. Set aside.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, and cook until soft, stirring occasionally.
- Add the potatoes to the skillet and cook until tender, approximately 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Spread half of the potatoes and onions in the bottom of a 9-inch (23cm) pie dish.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the potatoes and onions.
- Repeat with the remaining potato mixture and shredded cheese.
- Pour the heavy cream over the top of the cheese and potatoes.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown on top and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
