Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter, cold and cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, fry the bacon over medium-high heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
