Supreme of roast chicken, American langoustines

Supreme of Roast Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken supremes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 tbsp flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Season the chicken supremes with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken to the pan and cook until browned on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and roast it in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. While the chicken is cooking, melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the onions and stir to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the flour is golden brown.
  6. Slowly add the chicken broth and white wine to the pan, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before plating it. Spoon the sauce over the chicken and serve hot.

Verdict

This roast chicken recipe is packed with flavor and perfect for a special dinner. The chicken supremes come out moist and succulent, while the onion and white wine sauce adds a touch of elegance.
