Swiss Potato Gratin

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Gruyere cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (191°C).
  2. Butter a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced potatoes, heavy cream, minced garlic, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Layer half of the potato mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle half of the grated Gruyere cheese on top.
  5. Repeat with a second layer of potatoes and cheese.
