Ingredients:
- 4 veal shanks, 1 1/2 inches thick
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 cups porcini mushrooms, soaked in hot water for 20 minutes and drained
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
