Blackberry Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. 2 pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
  2. 6 cups fresh blackberries, washed and drained
  3. 1 cup granulated sugar
  4. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  5. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  6. 1 egg, beaten

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out one of the pie crusts and carefully transfer it to a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mix the blackberries with sugar and flour.
  4. Pour the mixture into the pie crust, and top it with small pieces of butter.
  5. Roll out the second pie crust and cut it into strips to create a lattice pattern on top of the blackberry mixture.
  6. Brush the top crust with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven, and let the pie cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Serve this delicious blackberry pie warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top for a perfect and classic dessert.
