Blackberry Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
- 6 cups fresh blackberries, washed and drained
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out one of the pie crusts and carefully transfer it to a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the blackberries with sugar and flour.
- Pour the mixture into the pie crust, and top it with small pieces of butter.
- Roll out the second pie crust and cut it into strips to create a lattice pattern on top of the blackberry mixture.
- Brush the top crust with beaten egg.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, and let the pie cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before serving.
