Cauliflower Dough Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 1 large cauliflower head, cut into florets
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Any additional toppings of your choice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. In a food processor, pulse the cauliflower florets until they resemble rice.
  3. Place the cauliflower rice in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 5-8 minutes until it becomes soft and tender. Allow it to cool for a bit.
  4. In a clean kitchen towel, place the cauliflower rice and squeeze until all the liquid is removed. This process is essential for the dough to come together.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cauliflower rice, eggs, Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well the ingredients to form a dough and allow it to sit for 10 minutes.
  6. On a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spread the dough and create a pizza crust, pressing down to make it even and firm.
  7. Bake the crust in the oven for 10-15 minutes until lightly golden brown.
  8. Remove the crust from the oven and spread tomato sauce over it. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and any additional toppings of your choice. Return it to the oven and cook for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly browned.
  9. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot.

Verdict:

This cauliflower dough pizza is a fantastic, low-carb alternative to traditional pizza. It is crispy, flavorful, and you can add any toppings you like. It is a great way to sneak in some veggies into your diet, and you won’t even miss the traditional pizza crust.
