Champagne Hotpot Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs beef, sliced thin
- 8 cups chicken or beef broth
- 2 cups champagne
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sliced shiitake mushrooms
- 1 cup sliced bok choy
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1 cup sliced Napa cabbage
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon chili paste
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat a large pot over medium heat.
- Add sliced beef to the pot and cook until browned.
- Next, add onion and garlic to the pot and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Pour champagne into the pot and let it simmer until it reduces by half.
- Next, add chicken or beef broth to the pot, along with soy sauce, sesame oil and chili paste.
- Add in shiitake mushrooms, bok choy, carrots and Napa cabbage.
- Simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot with a side of rice or noodles.
