Ingredients:

  • 4 medium sized potatoes, peeled and boiled
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Directions:

  1. Mash the boiled potatoes in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the cheddar cheese and butter. Mix them well until the cheese has melted.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Using your hands, shape the potato and cheese mixture into small, cylindrical croquette shapes.

  6. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan over medium-high heat.
