Chocolate Coconut Bars Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine shredded coconut, almond flour, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Press mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool completely.
- In a small bowl, melt chocolate chips and 1 tsp of coconut oil in the microwave or over a double boiler.
- Spread melted chocolate over the cooled coconut mixture. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes or until chocolate has hardened.
- Cut into bars and serve.
