Fishburger Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb white fish fillet (e.g. cod, haddock, pollock)
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce and tomato for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the fish fillet into small pieces and pulse them in a food processor until coarsely chopped.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped fish, bread crumbs, egg, mayonnaise, dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into four patties, about 4 inches in diameter each.
- Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until browned and crispy.
- Place each patty between a hamburger bun. You can add lettuce and tomato to build your ideal sandwich.
