Fishburger Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb white fish fillet (e.g. cod, haddock, pollock)
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce and tomato for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the fish fillet into small pieces and pulse them in a food processor until coarsely chopped.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped fish, bread crumbs, egg, mayonnaise, dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into four patties, about 4 inches in diameter each.
  4. Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until browned and crispy.
  5. Place each patty between a hamburger bun. You can add lettuce and tomato to build your ideal sandwich.
