Delicious Peach Strudel Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of phyllo pastry sheets
  • 5-6 peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or almonds (optional)
  • 1 egg + 1 tbsp water, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Toss together until evenly coated.
  3. Lightly butter a single sheet of phyllo pastry and sprinkle with some breadcrumbs. Repeat this step until you have stacked 6-8 sheets of phyllo on top of each other.
