Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup diced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup diced green pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Add olive oil, then slowly add warm water until the mixture forms a dough.
  3. Roll the dough out on a floured surface, to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.
  4. Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut the dough into 3 inch long triangle shapes.
  5. Spread a small spoonful of marinara sauce on each triangle and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Add black olives, pepperoni, and diced green pepper to each triangle.
  7. Roll each triangle up, starting from the wider end, to create a tongue shape.
  8. Place the pizza tongues on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve warm as an appetizer.
