Sicilian Penne Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of penne pasta
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- 2 teaspoons of dried oregano
- 1 can of chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 cup of Kalamata olives, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup of capers, drained

Instructions:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Drain the pasta and set it aside.

- Mix in the Kalamata olives, capers, and chopped fresh parsley and let everything simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Add the cooked penne pasta into the skillet, tossing everything together until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the Sicilian penne to individual plates and serve.
