Stuffed Conchiglioni Recipe
Ingredients
- 20-25 conchiglioni shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Cook the conchiglioni shells according to package instructions until al dente. Rinse with cold water, drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, basil, parsley, oregano, salt and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Spoon the cheese mixture into a piping bag and fill each conchiglioni with the cheese mixture until fully stuffed. Place the stuffed shells in a baking dish.
- Pour the marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and spread it out evenly to cover all the shells.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the sauce is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Serve hot and garnish with chopped fresh herbs if desired.
