Ingredients:

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup cashew nuts
  • 1/4 cup marzipan, grated
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter or ghee
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Rinse rice thoroughly under cold water until water runs clear. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt butter or ghee in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and sauté until softened and translucent for about 4 minutes.
