Almond Tart with Pears Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 ripe pears, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a round 9-inch tart pan with butter and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, powdered sugar, almond meal, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add in cold cubed butter and rub it into the flour mixture until you get a coarse crumbly texture.
  4. Beat an egg in a small bowl and pour it into the flour mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
