Ingredients:

  • 200g butter, softened
  • 200g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon anise extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 400g flour
  • powdered sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and anise extract and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the baking powder and flour. Then, gradually add it to the butter mixture until it forms a dough.

  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown. Allow to cool slightly on the tray before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once the bredele have cooled, dust them with powdered sugar.
