Apple and Mascarpone Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
