Apple Muffin Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 apple, peeled and chopped into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, mix together the melted butter and sugar. Add in the eggs and stir until well combined.
- Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients in 2-3 batches, alternating with the applesauce. Mix until well combined. Fold in the chopped apples.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
- Place the muffin tin on a wire rack and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before removing the muffins from the tin.
