Banana, Pear and Chocolate Speculoos Crumble

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 pears
  • 50g chocolate chips
  • 75g speculoos biscuits
  • 75g unsalted butter
  • 75g brown sugar
  • 50g plain flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180C (160C fan)/350F/Gas 4.
  2. Peel and slice the bananas and pears, and place them in a baking dish.
  3. Melt the butter in a small saucepan.
  4. Add the brown sugar, and stir until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cinnamon, salt and crushed speculoos biscuits.
  6. Add the melted butter and sugar mixture to the dry ingredients, and mix together using a fork until a crumbly mixture forms.
  7. Add the chocolate chips to the crumbly mixture, and stir through.
  8. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the top of the fruit in the baking dish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the crumble is golden brown and the fruit is soft and tender.
  10. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
