Ingredients
- 1 cup pitted dates, chopped
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup currants
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup chopped almonds
- 1 cup chopped candied orange peel
- 1 cup candied cherries
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup brown sugar

Instructions
- Combine dates, raisins, currants, walnuts, almonds, candied orange peel, and candied cherries in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, baking powder, and salt. Add to fruit and nut mixture and mix well.
- Stir in eggs and brandy or rum until well combined. Spoon mixture into a well-greased 9×13 inch baking dish and bake at 300°F for 1 hour or until lightly browned. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
