Recipe: Black Forest Ingot – Regal

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add in the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  4. Stir in the boiling water until fully incorporated.
  5. Stir in the chopped maraschino cherries.
