Breaded veal with lemon – Delicious

Breaded Veal with Lemon Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 veal cutlets, pounded thin
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, dried thyme and half a teaspoon of salt. In the second bowl, add the flour and the remaining half teaspoon of salt. In the third bowl, beat the eggs and add half teaspoon of black pepper.
  3. Start by dredging a piece of veal in the flour, then shaking off any excess. Dip it in the beaten eggs, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture. Set it aside on a plate and repeat with the remaining cutlets.
  4. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once it’s hot, add the breaded cutlets to the pan, being careful not to overcrowd it. Cook each cutlet for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they’re golden brown and crispy.
  5. Once all the cutlets are cooked, transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the meat is cooked through.
  6. Serve the breaded veal cutlets hot, garnished with lemon slices.

This breaded veal with lemon recipe is a real crowd-pleaser! The crispy breadcrumb coating pairs perfectly with the tender veal and tangy lemon slices. This dish is perfect for a fancy dinner party or a special occasion, but it’s also easy enough to whip up on a weeknight for a satisfying meal.
