Brick with Goat Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 1 brick of phyllo dough
  • 200g goat cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F (175° C).
  2. Bake the phyllo dough in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
  3. In a bowl, mix the goat cheese, egg, melted butter, salt and pepper.
  4. Once the phyllo dough is done, spread the mixture on the dough.
  5. Bake the phyllo dough with the mixture on it for another 7-10 minutes or until the mixture is also lightly golden brown.

Verdict and Serving Suggestions:

This dish is absolutely divine in its simplicity. The goat cheese mixture lightens up the heaviness of the phyllo dough and creates a perfectly balanced appetizer. Serve with a side of mixed greens or a tomato salad to round off the dish.
