Bush and Walnut Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 and 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 and 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups grated bush squash
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, walnuts, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Stir in vegetable oil and eggs.
  4. Add grated bush squash, cinnamon and nutmeg to the mixture and mix well.
  5. Pour mixture into the greased baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350 F (175 C) for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool down, then cut and serve.
