Candied Pears with Chocolate Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe but firm pears
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

Instructions:

Candied Pears:

  1. Peel and core the pears and cut them into quarters.
  2. In a medium saucepan, mix the sugar and water together and bring it to a boil.
