Carpaccio Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound beef tenderloin
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained and rinsed
  • Salt and pepper
  • Arugula leaves
  • Shaved Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Trim the beef tenderloin of any excess fat and slice it thinly. If desired, place the slices between sheets of plastic wrap and pound them with a meat mallet to achieve an even thickness.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, grated Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and capers. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Arrange the beef slices on a large serving platter, slightly overlapping each other.
  4. Drizzle the dressing over the beef slices, making sure each slice is coated evenly. Cover the platter with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. When ready to serve, remove the platter from the refrigerator and garnish with arugula leaves and shaved Parmesan cheese.
