Ingredients

  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons of honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F (190 C).
  2. Prepare a 9-inch (23 cm) cake pan by greasing it with butter and lining the bottom with parchment paper.
  3. In a large saucepan, combine the heavy cream, honey, vanilla extract, and orange zest. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the sliced apples, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir to combine, then reduce the heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and the mixture has thickened, about 20 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the butter until melted and combined.
  6. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, and sugar.
  7. Add the butter and use a fork to mix until the mixture comes together and forms small crumbs.
