Chicken Puff Pastry
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
- 1 large Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 cups of Cooked Chicken, shredded
- 1/4 cup of Flour
- 1 teaspoon of Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of Black Pepper
- 1 cup of Chicken Broth
- 1/2 cup of Heavy Cream
- 1 sheet of Puff Pastry, thawed
- 1 Egg, beaten
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a large pan, heat Olive Oil, then sauté Onion and Garlic until Onion is tender and Garlic is fragrant.
- Add shredded Chicken, Flour, Salt, and Black Pepper. Then stir until the mixture is combined.
- Pour in Chicken Broth and Heavy Cream. Continue to stir until the mixture is blended and thickened.
- Using a rolling pin, roll out the Puff Pastry to make it even and thin.
- Cut it into 4 equal squares.
- Place 1/4 of the Chicken mixture in the center of each square of Puff Pastry.
- Brush the edges of the Puff Pastry squares with Egg wash.
- Fold the Puff Pastry over the Chicken mixture to make a triangle-shaped pocket. Press the edges to seal.
- Place the Chicken Puff Pastry triangles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with remaining Egg wash.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
