Chocolate and Pear Tartlets Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 ripe pears, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/3 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons of turbinado sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Using a biscuit cutter or a glass, cut the puff pastry into circles approximately 3-4 inches in diameter.
  3. Arrange the pastry circles on the prepared baking sheet and brush the edges with the beaten egg.
  4. In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate, heavy cream, butter, and salt. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
