Chocolate chip milk bread

Chocolate Chip Milk Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup whole milk, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten for egg wash

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add the bread flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Mix until combined.
  2. Add the unsalted butter, whole milk, and large eggs. Mix on low speed until the dough comes together.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, sprinkle a little flour into the bowl. Add the chocolate chips and knead for another minute.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a damp towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  5. Punch down the dough to release the air. Divide the dough into two. Shape each piece into a ball and place them in two greased 8-inch loaf pans. Cover with the damp towel and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Brush the tops with the egg wash.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  8. Remove the bread from the pans and let them cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving.

Verdict:

This chocolate chip milk bread is soft, fluffy, and delicious. The chocolate chips add a sweet surprise to every bite, making it perfect for breakfast, snack, or dessert.
