Chocolate Magic Cake – Treat
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups hot water
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add vegetable oil and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir to combine.
- Gradually add hot water to the mixture, stirring constantly until batter is smooth.

- Pour 1 1/4 cups of hot water over the top of the batter and cocoa sugar mixture. DO NOT STIR.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the cake is set. Be sure not to overbake as it will affect the texture.
- Allow cake to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
