Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. of semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • A pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler until smooth. Set aside to cool.
  2. Combine egg yolks, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Beat it until it turns pale yellow.
  3. Whip the heavy cream until it forms soft peaks. Fold in the chocolate mixture and egg mixture until everything is combined.
  4. Distribute the mixture evenly into small dessert dishes and chill them for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator.
  5. Serve chilled.
