Christophe Michalak’s Chocolate Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 350g dark chocolate (at least 65% cocoa)
- 5 eggs
- 150g Caster sugar
- 110g Butter
- 75g Plain flour
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven at 150°C (th. 4-5).
- In a bowl, break 350g of dark chocolate into pieces and add 110g of butter.
- Melt them in a double-boiler until you get a smooth mixture.
- In another bowl, whisk 5 eggs with 150g of caster sugar until light and fluffy.
- Sift in 75g of plain flour and fold gently.
- Add the melted chocolate and mix gently until homogenous.
- Line a 24cm diameter cake tin with baking paper and pour the mixture in.
- Bake for 25 min.
- Take out of the oven and let cool. Once cooled, place it in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.
