Dark Chocolate Dome – Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate cookie crumbs
  • Edible gold leaf – optional

Instructions:

  1. Grease a silicone dome mold with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Place the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl and set aside.
  3. Place the heavy cream, unsalted butter, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt in a saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the mixture starts to simmer.
  4. Pour the hot mixture over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then stir until smooth and well combined.
  5. Add chocolate cookie crumbs to the mixture and mix well.
  6. Spoon the mixture into the prepared mold and smooth the top. Place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until set.
  7. Gently release the chocolate dome from the mold and place it on a serving plate.
  8. Decorate with edible gold leaf (optional).
