Dragee Snow Eggs Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. 4 large eggs
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 1/4 cup water
  4. 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  5. 1/4 cup rainbow dragees

Instructions:

  1. Crack the eggs and separate the yolks from the whites.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and water and cook until the sugar dissolves.

  6. Increase the mixer speed to high and beat until the mixture is thick, glossy, and stiff, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Gently fold in the rainbow dragees.
  8. Using a large spoon or cookie scoop, form the meringue mixture into oval or egg-shaped portions.
  9. Place the egg-shaped portions onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Freeze the formed meringues for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  11. Once frozen, preheat your oven to 450°F.
  12. Bake the meringues for 2-3 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  13. Serve immediately.
