Drinkable Yogurt Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of drinkable yogurt (flavored or plain)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt until well combined. Set aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the drinkable yogurt, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until well combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth out the surface with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
