Duo of Dark Chocolate Truffles

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped nuts (e.g. almonds, hazelnuts, pecans)

Steps:

  1. In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate chips with the heavy cream in a microwave in 20-second increments, stirring well after each interval, until completely melted and smooth.
  2. Place the chocolate mixture in the fridge for about 30 minutes until firm.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the cocoa powder and powdered sugar.
  4. Take the chocolate mixture out of the fridge and use a spoon or small scooper to form balls. Roll half of the balls in the cocoa powder mixture until coated.
