Easy Homemade Brioche Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- In another bowl, microwave the milk until just warm, about 45 seconds.
- Add the melted butter and eggs to the milk and whisk to combine.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a sticky dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
- Punch the dough down and divide it into 8 equal parts.
- Shape each part into a ball and place them in a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- Cover the pan with a towel and let it rise in a warm place for another 45 minutes, or until the dough has risen about 1 inch over the top of the pan.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the brioche for 20-25 minutes, or until light golden brown on top.
- Let the brioche cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing it to a wire rack to cool completely.
